FAQ about EFT

EFT is a mind/body energy therapy based on the ancient principles of Chinese Acupuncture. As a Practitioner of EFT I believe that any negative emotion is a result of blockages within the body's energy system. By tapping on certain energy meridian points on the body, whilst focussing on the 'problem' we are able to balance the energy system and the negative emotion dissolves, in most cases immediately and often permanently.

The mind and body work together and the process of realigning the energy system frees up the body to heal. There is much evidence that EFT has helped relieve physical symptoms in many areas.

The difference between EFT and other alternative practices is that it is something the Client can learn and use themselves at home (or at the office, in an airplane, in the supermarket, in a small lift etc...!)
Yes, I am fully insured and qualified to Practice EFT.

  • AAMET Level 2 Practitioner - AAMET - the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques
  • Registered with GRCCT (General Regulatory Council for Complementary Therapy)

In addition to this I am a qualified Life Coach (LCH-Dip.)
Possibly, but that would depend on your GP.

I am registered on the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners, which is assessable to both GPs and members of the public. Your GP can access this register at www.nhsdirectory.org where they will be able to identify me as a registered practitioner (under Healing, Kendal, membership number: 6778) and as a result they may offer you a referral to me.
I am in Kendal about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Please note that therapy sessions are strictly by appointment only.
I would always recommend that you seek medical advice before trying any alternative or complimentary therapies.

By booking an EFT session with me, you are confirming that you will take personal responsibility for your emotional and physical wellbeing throughout our session.
EFT is a unique healing therapy, where you can personally address issues without me having to know any of the details. I lead you through the process of EFT and you work on what you need to. I will ask you questions which will help guide you and you may, or may not, choose at the end of the session to share with me what you have achieved.

My sessions are Client led and you will only do what you feel comfortable with.
I no longer offer EFT over the phone.
The cost £45 is for a one hour EFT session (although please allow an extra 30 minutes as sometimes we run over). Payment is taken during the session - cash or cheque.
You will discover techniques that will help reduce (in some cases get rid of completely!) cravings for a cigarette or piece of chocolate within a session. Sometimes this is enough! You can use this technique whenever and wherever you like. Sometimes when working on a craving (for example) other 'aspects' come up, stemming from past experiences. Although you would be able to use the EFT that you have learned to get rid of a craving as and when it came up, by tackling the real issue - the past experiences (for example) you work on eliminating the reason for the craving coming up in the first place. This may be done in one session. If more aspects come up, as they often do, if you have had negative experiences or trauma in your past, you may decide that more than one session is needed. There is no pressure to book more than one session.
Following any EFT session, I am happy to be there for ongoing support, at no extra charge, via email. If you forget what to do, just let me know and I will give you a reminder of the tapping points, and help you with any setup and reminder phrases (you learn about these during your session).
Once I receive your Enquiries Form I can arrange, with you, to have a chat over the phone about EFT. This will give you an opportunity to ask me any questions before committing to an appointment. If I feel that EFT is not the right therapy for your needs I would try offer suggestions of alternatives.
